Optimized Ecommerce EP 015 – #1 Problem Scaling Shopify WooCommerce Stores
Listen to the episode:Welcome to Episode 015 of Optimized Ecommerce – #1 Problem Scaling Shopify WooCommerce Stores. I’m your host for today, Tanner Larsson CEO of BGS.
BGS means Build Grow Scale! It is a community that we founded where eCommerce entrepreneurs and physical product sellers come to learn how to take their businesses to the next level.
In today’s episode, I am going to share a little bit of information that I think everyone who is into ecommerce is probably guilty of committing, especially in a time when we want to have something in a snap of a finger. I’m going to teach you how you can maximize your store through optimization.
I’m going to break it down to you in the simplest way I can. So join me today in another instructional episode of Optimized Ecommerce Podcast.
Here’s just a taste of what we talked about today:
Optimize Before You Maximize
There is just no other way to do this if you want to see positive results in your conversions. You need to start with optimizing your store before you can maximize its use. Finish the build process first by kicking away every kink and tweaking each flaw before anything else.
Six to Eight Clicks
The number of steps or clicks a potential customer has to make between arriving at your store, to making a complete purchase should be as seamless as possible. Your duty is not to shorten the process but to make sure your visitor won’t encounter distractions throughout the whole process. Always remember that your goal is to ensure that you create a positive experience for your buyer’s journey.
Scale the Right Way
Just as each of your visitors is unique, ecommerce stores are built very differently. But to stand out from the crowd build your store in such a way that your visitors will enjoy lingering in your store while going through your products. Don’t bombard your customers with too much, instead tease and encourage them to keep coming back for more.
We also discussed a few other fun topics, including:
- It is easy to turn up the traffic on your site, but is your site optimized to handle the number of visitors at any given time?
- Make everything clear from the start. Create trust by giving your customers the correct information at the right time.
- Remember, every customer who walks away from your site is money wasted in paid advertising.
But you’ll have to watch or listen to the episode to hear about those!
