So one of the areas that I see ecommerce store owners working way too hard is trying to produce and match their daily revenue from the day before right? Now, obviously, in a business, you want consistency, right? You want your daily revenues to be consistent and hopefully growing on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. The problem is, is with most econ businesses, they’re very front end focused, right? So they’re only focused on the acquisition of new customers, and they count on the acquisition of new customers and new sales to equate to their revenue. If they don’t get new customers, they don’t have revenue, meaning that they’re not selling to their existing customers, or, you know, doing anything to us, like user inflate or add to their lifetime customer value from their existing customer base. And that describes about 85 to 90% of the e commerce stores out there. Everything is focused on the front end acquiring new customers. If we don’t acquire new customers, we don’t make any money.

Okay. But daily revenue is important, right? Cash Flow is king in the business. So if you don’t have new customers and your daily revenues, you know, up and down like a heart rate monitor, it’s really hard for you to grow a business and much less scale or, you know, profit at all right? So what I want to tell you today is a simple, simple way that you can get between 18 and 30% of your daily revenue accounted for every day automatically like that. Okay. And what I’m talking about is something you’ve heard about a million times, you know, it’s important, but you just don’t do it because you don’t take the time. And that’s email. All right. automated email follow up is the simplest way to start maximizing your daily revenue automatically. Alright. klaviyo. If you’re on Shopify, or you know, Infusionsoft or drip or Active Campaign or any of the different platforms, if you’re on Shopify, you should be using klaviyo because it’s by far the best.

But they allow for you to set up these super

Automated and very accurate campaigns with a few clicks and stuff like that, throw in some emails and you’re good to go. So what am I talking about here? Obviously, you know things like your welcome email, right when the customer buys, and then you have your cart abandonment flows and stuff like that. And then you might even have a review request email, okay, but most of those are single emails are not really campaigns because they’re you guys aren’t thinking them outright. Each of those should be a campaign. But again, that’s where most people’s email marketing stops, okay? But there’s 12 different automated campaign types that are all super simple that you could plug in like that and could be making you money. Okay. Now, here’s some examples. There are cross sell email campaigns. There are new customer thank you email campaigns where you can give them a coupon, there are upsell campaigns, there are holiday promotional campaigns, there are win back campaigns. There are VIP campaigns. There are tons and tons and tons of different campaigns that can all be automated and triggered.

automatically based on a customer’s action, how they shop, how they buy, what they bought in the past and things like that also time duration. Now, here’s the thing. Once you set one of these campaigns up, it’s done. It will go out automatically when triggered, as every new customer comes into your business. So if you consistently set up just one campaign, like maybe once a week, and then a week later, you set up another campaign. And then a week later, you set up another campaign, four weeks, four campaigns, eight weeks, eight campaigns, and boom, you have eight different automated money flows coming in automatically. Okay. Why is that powerful? Well, we have seven core campaigns that we teach all of our beginner stores to use right off the bat, and then they can, you know, expand to the other more advanced campaigns. Simply setting up those seven basic campaigns can account for up to 18% of a store’s daily revenue. Okay, How awesome would it be if every day 18% of your revenue goal was already accounted for? Okay? And as you grow that 18% grows as well.

And that’s automatic, okay, it happens automatically, you’re not actively sending these emails, you’re not doing anything else. All right, you get all 12 or potentially 14 different campaign types set up with, you know, good triggering and good, good automation and you dial them in a little bit. You could get up to 2020 25% of your automated daily revenue accounted for automatically. Okay. And then if you add an active email, you could bump your revenue from email to over 30% of your store’s daily revenue. Okay, simply by using email smarts, okay. Now active email that takes a lot of work, you got to email daily, you got to email campaign set up all these ongoing campaigns that are, you know, broadcast on a daily basis. That’s a lot of work. I get that. And if you’re a small shop, you may not be ready to do that. I think you should. But realistically, I understand that it’s very hard to do. Okay. However, nobody, no matter how big or small has an excuse to not have at least you know, the seven to 12 bases.

Automated campaign type setup. Okay, even if you only have a few products or if you have a lot of products, it doesn’t matter. Those basic campaign types should always be set up because they’re just free money and they work in the background automatically giving you leverage, okay? The only way you can scale a business is through leverage. Okay? So now while you’re focusing all your time on acquiring new customers, managing the business, doing all the other stuff you have to do, those nice automated email campaigns are sitting there in the background, growing and making you money. With every single time a new customer comes in, that’s increasing your lifetime value, which is giving you more money per customer in your business, making your overall business more valuable, giving you more cash flow, giving you more stable and dependable income. And the cool thing is, you don’t have to have just one campaign like cross sells, people who bought product A, you send them an email campaign to sell their product be cool. You could have 10 or 12 different cross sell campaigns based on the different product types and categories you have. Also, what about your really good customers, the ones who spend the most time
6:00
with you we call those the whales right? Why not have a different campaign types for your whales okay
6:07
allowing you to join them in their VIP give them a VIP buyers and give them special discounts create special sales that are just for them then from an Active Campaign type if you really want to get into active emailing which not is not automated which are the ones that are sitting out like broadcast emails, you could very simply just look at the different holidays that are coming up that fit your industry right you got Valentine’s Day you got Father’s Day you got Mother’s Day you got you got President’s Day Columbus Day you got all these different holidays you could even look at some of the more weird ones like you know, not the world hunger is weird but you got world hunger day World Peace Day you’ve got others even like go to like a met them world mattress day. There’s all kinds of goofy ones that you could do to you could even create your own day, like Amazon created their own Prime Day right? You could create your own for your business. And even if you just took the standard holidays and picked out one holiday out of every month, will boom
7:00
Now you’ve got 12 broadcast campaigns that you could pre schedule and boom, now you’ve got some active email going with your automated email. Alright, so there’s a ton of different options out there for you guys to really maximize your ability to create your daily revenue without having to do all the work on the front end, okay, the front end of the business guys really should be for acquisition. Okay, acquiring customers, you shouldn’t be trying to derive your daily revenue quota, your profit or anything else from the front end of your business. That’s just, that’s it’s hard and it’s wrong. Okay. Seth Gordon, the guy, the author of the purple cow, says that smart businesses know that profit is generated at the second and third sale and beyond, not on the first sale. Okay. Now the problem is in the econ world, you know, 80 to 90% of the businesses only sell to their customers one time, meaning they’re only getting that initial initial sale. So, in this case, what this looks like is that most businesses in the e commerce space there

average order value and their lifetime customer value are almost the same. Okay? And which is terrible. Your lifetime customer value, which is the total value on average of a customer through the lifecycle of your business should be at least three to five or more times bigger than your average order value. The meaning that you’re selling to them more often than you are just selling to new customers, okay? Now, I’m not telling you to stop getting new customers. I’m just telling you to stop leaving easy money on the table money that you don’t have to do anything. Once it’s set up to get to come in. I mean, how guys, all you have to do is send out the emails and let them go out. Okay. And the cool thing is, it doesn’t have to just be email. If you’re big into messenger or SMS, you can do all of that as well. SMS is actually one of the biggest money makers in any of our stores that we work on. Okay, because what’s attached to everybody’s hit, right, it never leaves our hand right our cell phone. So an SMS message is even easier than email. And you can have daily SMS campaigns.
9:00
You can do all kinds of stuff, you can do periodic. You can have them triggered based on, you know, customer behavior, different stuff like that messenger campaigns do really well as well. And you can use all different multiple modalities, how we have customers that are in some of the older demographics with their customer base, they pick up the phone, and they call all their best customers, the ones that have spent over X amount of dollars, they call them and say, Hey, we really appreciate you. Why don’t you use this special coupon that we’re just calling you on the phone, and we’ll give you x percent off on this special sale or, hey, we made this special bundle for you. Here’s a private link where you can go get it. Anything you do to make your people feel special, they’ll spend more money with you. And again, the purpose of this is to get your ideas going and get your gears turning on how you can create automated revenue in your business that you don’t have to actively manage yourself. Okay, you set it up. It comes in on autopilot and it makes you money every single day. Okay, nothing crazy. Nothing hard. I know you’ve heard it before.
10:00
But guys, stop just listening in and letting that go in one ear and out the other. This works, it will make you money and it will make you money automatically, which is what we all want. Okay? So take the time, set up some basic email flows, okay, and more much more than just the cart abandonment in the welcome email, go ahead and get those cross sells those promotional emails when campaigns, all of that in there, get those campaigns set up and watch it start making you money.
