There are ways in which you can help make your customers stay, get to the product page fast, and encourage them to return. It is by optimizing your store the best way possible. Its quite simple, and today’s episode will help you a lot on accomplishing just that.

The Category Page is Essential
The category page helps customers get to the product that they are searching for, faster, and if your category page does the opposite, then it fails. And when I say opposite, I mean, a disorganized category page gives users more confusion, it frustrates them, and it makes searching very tedious.
Filters are also Essential
You want to give your customers the ability to weed out or remove more products from your category page. Remember, the goal is to help them get to the product that they are searching for as fast as possible, and providing relevant filters to the mix will help a lot in accomplishing this. Checkboxes are ideal and should be located on the left-hand side.
Provide a Search Function
Give your customers the option to search. If they can search and purchase, then they’re worth three to four times more than any other traffic. Provide a search bar or a search option on your category page, if you do not want to place them on each page of your store.
We also discussed a few other fun topics, including:
- Your category page should help get your customers deeper into your funnel and not make them decide to leave your store.
- If you have no idea what to implement, it is always a good idea to check the more established stores like Bestbuy, Amazon, or even Mayfair. Check which practices work and which ones you can adopt.
- People change their minds all the time. Provide an option when they do, they do not have to start from the very beginning and avoid losing them in the process.
